Diversity was in the spotlight at the 88th Academy Awards, with host Chris Rock going overboard flooding the show with waves of sharp humor on the targeted issue. But no one could deny that the winners in the spotlight—especially Leonardo DiCaprio’s Oscar for The Revenant, and Spotlight as Best Picture—were deserving.

Of course handing out the Oscars wasn’t the only gifting that was going on during awards season. The upmarket Red Carpet Style and Beauty Lounge also benefitted Omics LIVE! a non-profit student Career Exploring program. Omics customizes live and remote internship experiences related to relevant fields and professions today: Fashion, Entertainment, Music, Lifestyle, Journalism, e-Commerce, Website Development, Retail, Product Development, Event & Show Production, Graphic Arts, Communication and Philanthropy.

The Secret Room Events, a brand and product marketing firm with niche appeal in the entertainment industry, hosted at the W Hotel in Westwood, California, to present new and exciting products and services offered by gracious sponsors. Event highlights include an amazing beauty lounge featuring Toni and Guy hair and nail services, massage by Cecilia Alcala, lash extension by Michelle Fong and make up application by ColourPop.

There was a fabulous food and beverage lounge hosted by Wolfgang Puck Co, Skinnygirl Teas, The Perfect Bite Co., Mira Winery and Newport Harbor High School Culinary School customizing desserts to honor the nominated movies.
