Every year the Grammy Awards are full of spectacles and surprises, swagger and swag. The 58th Grammy Awards at downtown LA’s Staples Center had Lady Gaga’s David Bowie tribute (a great spectacle), and darling Taylor Swift performing and winning. Swift’s three wins were no surprise, but using the opportunity to school Kanye West on her success was a sweet moment that was well deserved.

“Music’s biggest night” also had some nice moments backstage too, with celebrities gathering in the tent set up for the 2016 Grammy Gift Lounge presented by Tools by Gina. Just imagine Johnny Depp putting his arm around Ally Brooke of Fifth Harmony, and Stevie Wonder getting a hug from MC Lyte. Everybody loves the swagger and the swag along with hanging out and letting loose in the comfortable and generous atmosphere created by Distinctive Assets.

Lash Fary is the founder of the marketing company Distinctive Assets, which has presented the official Grammy gifting suite for many years. “It is exciting and an honor to be even a very small part of Music’s Biggest Night. The Grammy Gift Lounge is always the highlight of my year,” Fary reports.

It is also a highlight for music stars, celebrities and entertainment industry VIPs. Among them, Justin Bieber, Zendaya, Ryan Cabrerra, Little Big Town, Alabama Shakes, Aaron Carter, Nick Fradiani, Pauley Perrette, Elisabeth Rohm, Holly Robinson Peete, Joey Fatone, George Clinton, singer Madi Wolf, Tasha Cobbs, Johnny Depp’s buddy Joe Perry with The Hollywood Vampires, and many more walking away with gift bags stuffed with a reported $22,000 worth of goodies.

Tools by Gina was the presenting sponsor of the official 2016 Grammy Gift Lounge which was a three day event destination. The dynamo owner of Tools by Gina, Gina Rivera (featured on CBS’ “Undercover Boss”), showed off her Pure Infrared Technology Professional Styling tools (blow dryers and flat irons) that steams hair rather than applying direct heat. This advanced technology will provide natural shine to the hair and lock in moisture. www.toolsbygina.com.

There is a great story behind SIS Jewelry by Simone I. Smith (wife of Grammy host LL Cool J). SIS presented earrings and necklaces plus FOCUS for Men bracelets. The signature designs are the popular Sweet Touch of Hope lollipop pendants. A 10-year cancer survivor, Simone had been diagnosis of stage III chondrosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer which required an invasive surgery during which her right tibia bone was replaced with her left fibula bone. The lollipop pendent was made in the image of her lollipop tattoo that was disfigured during her surgery and now represents a symbol of her strength and survival.

Simone finds as much joy in designing earrings, bracelets and her ever-popular as she does when working with the American Cancer Society. A portion of the proceeds from every SIS purchase is donated to the fight against cancer. www.simoneismith.com.

It’s impossible to mention all the goodies in the Grammy gift bag, but among the big hits with the music crowd were–Flos Floris snap back hats, Marchon eyewear, The Natural Mixologist gift certificate, Noon VR virtual reality headset, truth x Vans by Kevin Lyons sneakers, Accept Me tee, Adopted NYC iPhone case, Age Interventionist by Renee Lynn 24K gold facial and Youth Blast products, Slimware portion control plates, Go Smile Dental Pro cleaning and whitening system, the Big Cat Rescue private tour package, and the Golden Door voucher to the Golden Door Resort & Spa.
