Crown Jewels Royal Purple Luncheon & SHARE Ladies Show Support

The Crown Jewels, a social group of 50 society women who are active in many charities, held their 15th annual Royal Purple Luncheon at DOMA — the exciting new eatery in Beverly Hills.  Entitled “An Afternoon in Italy.” This event featured a performance by young soprano, Joy Weiser, who grew up singing in our town.  She has sung musical theatre and opera roles, including Norina in Don Pasquale and Adele in Die Fledermaus.

Entertainment was further provided by accordionist Nick Ariondo, who has performed onstage with Placido Domingo, and received 25 ASCAP Awards for his compositions and arrangements. He performed in the Oscar-winning flick Life of Pi soundtrack, and currently is recording for the upcoming Monsters University for composer Randy Newman.
