Growing a Greener World is broadcast on National Public Television and features organic gardening, green living and farm-to-table food. Each episode focuses on compelling and inspirational people making a positive impact on the planet through gardening and shares DIY information that viewers can use at home. Currently in it’s sixth season, the gardening series covers a variety of subjects from edible gardening, urban homesteading and hobby farming to seasonal cooking, canning and preserving the harvest. Each episode includes gardening and sustainability expert Joe Lamp’l demonstrating hands-on gardening projects at his scenic north Atlanta farm, while Chef Nathan Lyon blends grassroots with gourmet to create an innovative cuisine using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. And canning/homesteading expert Theresa Loe shares ideas for capturing that fresh-picked flavor in a jar to be enjoyed long after the growing season is over.
Food and Drink are themes which have been the focus of entire cable networks, online hubs, mobile channels, and blockbuster films. They’ve launched chefs, restaurants, celebrities and wineries. The Taste Awards recognizes and acknowledges outstanding excellence in video, film, mobile and interactive content focused on food, drink, and lifestyle.
