If Doris Bergman lived during the elegant era of “Downton Abbey,” which had gracious entertaining and fabulous fashions on a grand scale, she would be the Grand Duchess of hospitality. Instead Bergman is the Grand Dame of hospitality suites in Hollywood. All who came to her pre-Emmy celebration will validate that.

Doris Bergman’s Sixth Annual Emmy Style Lounge and Party was held at the trendy upscale Fig & Olive Restaurant in West Hollywood. She hosted young talent such as Selinis Leyva (Orange is the New Black) and Jason Ritter (Parenthood), along with veteran stars who have a bundle of Emmys and nominations under their belts– including Khandi Alexander (Best Guest Actress, Scandal), Catherine Curtin (Drama Series Orange is the New Black), Damien Whitewood (Dancing With the Stars), Travis Wall (So You Think You Can Dance), Naomi Grossman (mini-series American Horror Story), multiple Emmy winner Doris Roberts (Everybody Loves Raymond).

Plus there were plenty of former Emmy nominees including the magnificent Dot Marie Jones (Glee), Renee Taylor (The Nanny), former Oscar winner and Emmy nominee Shirley Jones, and former Oscar nominees Elliott Gould and Eric Roberts, Esai Morales (The Brink) and Steven Bauer (Ray Donovan).

All enjoyed the “suite life” at the soiree, and in the spirit of giving back, guests & sponsors donated unwrapped gifts for kids for a pre-holiday gift drive benefitting “Wednesday’s Child.” It’s a heartfelt weekly segment airing on KTTV FOX 11 News in Los Angeles, with news anchor Christine Devine putting the spotlight on the terrific kids in the L.A. County foster care system who are in need of adoptive families.

The event sponsors and celebrity guests embrace the cause, and Bergman always invites two foster children to join in on the festivities and experience what it feels like to be treated as a VIP. This year, Bergman invited a foster child and a child that was adopted through the “Wednesday’s Child” program. “The Wednesday’s Child program really works,” Bergman happily reported.

Among the sponsors who made the event such a success were The Auto Gallery and Maserati. The Auto Gallery in Beverly Hills provided a Maserati and a McLaren that were on display for guests to “ooh and aah” over. They also handed out travel cups and blankets with the Maserati logo.

Another famous logo grabbing attention was the Sue Wong Fashion display. Wong rules the world of classy fashions, and now she has ventured into the fragrance world with little samples for everyone.
