We were privileged to attend the 23rd Annual Veteran’s Holiday Celebration at the Westside estate of Emmy award-winning husband& wife team, Peter & Lisa Lew Brennan. They are founding producers of Judge Judy, A Current Affair& Hard Copy to name a few. Actor Jim Belushi was honored with the first annual James Belushi American Patriot award. Jim is a stalwart supporter of the Veterans Holiday Celebration, and has attended and performed at VHC events for the past 18 years.

Included were an abundant buffet and open bar, featuring Jay Z’s D’usse cognac/cigar lounge, Marani vodka/martini bar, and a wine tasting room in the Hillside mansion. Some of the celebs enjoying a glamorous fashion show presented by Andre Soriano from Rihanna’s “Styled to Rock” included actors Carolyn Hennessey(True Blood), Kevin Dobson, Shar Jackson & American Idol Veteran, Anthony Fedorov. An evening of sophistication, style & success in raising funds to aid active & returning vets. Our Heroes — for sure!
Actress Mayim Bialik (Big Bang Theory) at Save A Child’s Heart Gala
Speaking of Heroes — (and aren’t we all today) — singer Christina Grimmie (The Voice) performed “Heroes” at the second annual West Coast Save a Child’s Heart Gala at the Commissary at Sony Pictures. Guests were treated to dinner catered by Wolfgang Puck, and wine donated by Niven Family Wine Estates. Master of Ceremonies Jeff Dye introduced a video demonstrating the work SACH does in over 50 countries for underprivileged children with heart disease. Did you know that the non-profit organization, located at the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, Israel, provides life-saving cardiac surgery & has saved the lives of over 3,600 children?
Actress Jennie Garth honored by Save A Child’s Heart
Among honorees were Rabbi Spike & Marita Anderson, Mare Smooke, Suzanna Adler, Pam & George Douglas, Lauren Winkle & Pegah Natanzi. Actress Mayim Blalik (The Big Bang Theory) presented The Compassionate Heart Award to actress Jennie Garth (90210) for her work speaking out against the silent killer — heart disease. Garth, who recently wed Actor/Producer Dave Abrams, lost her Dad to heart disease, so she can certainly relate.
