The joint was rocking & rolling at SHARE’s Boomtown Gala, when the Grammy Award winning R& B band, The Temptations Review, featuring Dennis Edwards performed at the Beverly Hilton. For more than 33 years Edwards, one of the last surviving members of the legendary group, is considered a giant in the music industry, and has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. They performed a medley of classic favorites including My Girl, Just My Imagination and Get Readyto the SRO western-clad audience.
Comedian/Actor John Byner was a brilliant master of ceremonies, and introduced the most unusual novelty act, Yacov Noy. Did you ever see a man with three legs dance the Tango? He had everyone in stitches, including such celebs as fellow dancer Nigel Lythgoe, Ryan O’Neal, Laura San Giacomo, Susan Blakely and Dr. Wendy Walsh to name a few.
Share President Debra Cirilov Couch presented Caryn Mintz with the Member of the Year Award. We were pleased to be seated with last year’s Member of the Year, gorgeous September Sarno, a top female executive at Morgan Stanley. This bundle of energy is credited with creating the Bachelor’s Auction to benefit SHARE — which raised several hundred thousand dollars every year to help “at risk” youth.
Kudos to Donelle Dadigan, President and Founder of the Hollywood Museum, who received their Shining Spirit Award; and certainly a rousing applause to the Dancing Darlings of SHARE — who performed “We’ve Come So Far” with grace and style. Special mention to Annie Gaybis (wife of John Byner), who jetted in from Florida to perform, and Joanna Carson, who designed the fabulous cowgirl costumes.
Keep on dancing, and raising over $50 million to date, to help abused, disabled and neglected children.
The elegant Bistro Garden Restaurant was the perfect setting for the launch of Judith Mancini’s skincare line, La Contessa Advanced Skincare. The event was hosted by Author & party-planner, Jacque Heebner, Jewelry designer & new bride, Caldwell Sutherland Bogert, and artist Judy Broumand. Among those on hand to honor her were former Miss California, Noelle Freeman, Soap Opera Actress & Author, Brenda Dickson, and impressionist artist, Robert W. Jensen.
Mancini knows a thing or two about beauty. After all, she was a stewardess, a fashion model, and publisher of the magazine, Let’s Live, focusing on beauty, health and nutrition.
She was given access to many scientists and doctors, who were discovering and creating new ingredients and formulations for skin care products. The exclusive line consists of five products for anti-aging, each with clinically tested ingredients. Retail prices range from $20 – $461, and are available on line at: lacontessaskincare.com
I personally have tried her Reservatrol, and received lots of compliments.
Maybe there is something to this rejuvenating cream after all!
