Bold colors and strips, plus threads that sparkle are trendy this summer season. Whether for the runway, clubs, beach parties, date night, or girls night out, every lady wants to look cool. And the coolest among the current trends is a chic sweater that makes a fashion statement.
Consulting an apparel expert, Sarah Cho, designer for the Belldini fashion line that specializes in knit designs, she talked about the must-haves for fashionistas. Belldini has chic cardigans and attention-grabbing rhinestone zip sweaters, along with twinsets and other items in their full line of comfy (yet sophisticated) women’s apparel.
Offering her observations about the fashion landscape, Cho says, “We are seeing a lot of bold color-blocking this season, pairing it with sequins and rhinestones. We also noticed lace-covered cut-outs are very trendy. Of course, sequin yarns are very popular, but with the newer softer fibers we use at Belldini.”
What are the colors of the season? According to Cho, “As we all know by now, the color of the season is a bright, fun, reddish-orange. Belldini’s answer to that is our Sunkissed Coral, a fun bright coral hue that pairs great with black, white, and denim.”
She adds, “Our Tide Pool, which is an antique light teal has also been a big hit this season since it looks great on blondes, brunettes, and red heads alike. Of course Fuchsia always looks great with our rhinestone zipper styles, as does our rich turquoise hues like Mediterranean.”
The “must-haves” for a summer wardrobe include a nice sequin yarn piece. Not only is it glitzy and glamorous, but it is also incredibly trendy, a trend we’ll continue to see into the Fall and even next Spring as well.
Additionally, no wardrobe is complete without a great crochet cover-up. These pieces are great because you can pair it with jeans, or use it on the beach over your swimwear.
Cho was happy to explain why is a great sweater is the perfect “accessory” for any outfit.
“A great sweater is the perfect accessory because it is practical and can make a great statement. First of all, it just makes sense to always have a sweater whenever you leave the house. You never know how chilly it might get! A great sweater can complete any outfit.”
She says, “If you are feeling dull and drab, a gorgeous glamorous sweater can make your outfit pop and even make you feel more confident, powerful, and of course beautiful. A perfect sweater not only compliments your look and style, but your personality as well.”
The inspiration for the Belldini garments comes from the women who wear the contemporary styles. Cho describes the line for “someone who values quality, a glamorous woman who cares about what she is wearing and wants to stand out. Not only that, but she wants to feel comfortable. She loves sparkling in crystals and diamonds.”
