Music Celebration for a Cause: Superstorm Sandy Relief helped at GBK Lounge

In celebration of the American Music Awards, music filled the air at the GBK Musical Lifestyle Lounge with invited nominees and presenters. The celebrities gathered at the Andaz Hotel on the Sunset Strip for the fun affair that embraced a good cause: helping those affected by the Superstom Sandy disaster.

“Thanks to our generous celebrity guests and the wonderful participating sponsors, 100% of the event proceeds are being donated to Hurrican Sandy relief efforts,” announced host Gavin Keilly, founder of GBK special events. All applauded his support of the American Red Cross.

The Voice stars Jamar Rogers and Chris Mann

Singing up a storm were Jamar Rogers and Chris Mann, the hot finalists from season two of the hit NBC musical competition The Voice. They gave an impromptu performance, and praised the eclectic mix of musicians entertaining in the lounge. We heard the sweet sounds of Stazz, lovely blonde singer with the hot Primvolta song “Broken” on Whiiite’s EP. Also the band Pullman Standard, Branches, Angelyna Martinez, Deqn Sue, Standley, J-Dub, Mike Burke, DJ eTunes, and 10-year-old DJ BabyChino were featured.

And to lift spirits in New Jersey, New York and other devastated coastal areas, Keilly invited the charity A Rose of Thanks to create a special greeting card. The celebrities on hand personalized the cards. There were heartfelt messages from Grammy nominated Sheila E., R&B singer Johnny Gill, Sean Kingston, T.I.’s Tiny, Disney’s perky singer-dancer Zendaya Coleman from the Shake It Up series.

AMA’s Red Carpet host Carly Steel and Pussycat Dolls founder/choreographer Robin Antin were grooving to the sounds, along with Shaunie O’Neil (Basketball Wives), and Celebrity Apprentice‘s competitor Aubrey O’Day. They all went wild over the genuine Louisiana Alligator and Cowhide Dog Collars and jewelry from Barbara Conner Jewelry dba Swamp Dogs of LA. www.barbaraconnerjewelry.com, www.swampdogsofla.com.

CindiNails

Another super-popular sponsor pampering the ladies (and some “metro” guys) was the CindiNails’ mini-manicure session. Patti Stanger (Millionaire Matchmaker) and exotic model Karrueche Tran loved the healthy, long-lasting base and top coats from cindinails.com.

For ageless beauty, Sure Thik gave demonstrations of its amazing hair thickening products to help thinning hair for men and women, from surethik.com. Always a celebrity favorite to create awesome eyes, RevitaLash cosmetics from revitalash.com. And Oxix International Inc. had their Reverge/Prograce skin care treatments (prograceyou.com, revergeyou.com) that delighted the beautiful gal-group Blush.

Backstreet Boys Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough were seen having fun with the great sponsors at the event. Also hanging out were BooBoo Stewart and Toni Trucks from the Twilight Saga movies. They all went crazy over the colorful Fly Watches (www.fly-watches.com) from the trend-setting Flyclothing president Jonathan Hedden. Glee’s cheerleader Becca Tobin thought the line of iiJin (iiJin.com)  invisible wedge footwear was super-trendy and helped create shapely legs. And SycFuk rock’n’rollcouture had the mantra to dress only to impress yourself (sycfuk.com) .

Impressive handcrafted Italian leather bags from Moni Moni designed by Cinzia Moniaci (monimoni.com) wowed all the ladies, along with the unique variety of handcrafted goodies from the popular www.TheArtisanGroup.org. Elegant jewelry from Sandra Mardini, and edgy designs from Michelle Roy and her Social Butterflies LA accessories line featuring trendy skulls.

GCBX Nextrim's Michele Noonan

And there was everything from the brainy-blonde Big Brother contestant, neuroscientist Michele Noonan who represented the GCBX & Nextrim weight loss supplement, to the multivitamins folks from AlternaVites, and the bakers from Royal Red Velvet Cupcakes. Plus everyone was invited to create their own Action Flipbook to take home after a fun day supporting relief from Superstorm Sandy.
