Gold found at star-studded Oscar Gift Lounge

The Airweave and GBK Luxury Gift Lounge in honor of the 2014 Oscar Nominees and Presenters was a great success! Fabulous celebs attended including Emily Bergl (Blue Jasmine), Kelsey Scott (12 Years a Slave), Amy Smart, Andrew Ludwig, and House of Cards’ sweetheart Rachel Brosnahan. They all enjoyed a busy weekend of star-studded parties and events that had everyone celebrating the little gold trophy known as Oscar.

Another “golden” cutie actually grabbed the spotlight. Figure skater Gracie Gold, just back from the Sochi Olympics with her group medal still around her neck was the darling of the GBK event. As soon as she arrived, Gracie flopped on the comfy Airweave bedding topper flashing the biggest smile (like the one in the poster right behind the Airweave display). She certainly deserved a rest after the recent whirlwind media blitz, but film and tv stars were flocking around congratulating her and wanting to see her medal up close and personal. So it was celebrate now…rest later!

Some of the stars arrived in style on a rare raining LA day via ABC Limo. And all of the celebs at the luxury lounge were pampered by the event’s lifestyle sponsors. Guests enjoyed music from DJ Shy, the first female On-Air Mixer at 102.7 KIIS-FM, and received a generous selection of gifts from participating brands. The goodies included a range of trend-setting and unique finds including Presenting Sponsor Tervis, gifting personalized Tervis tumblers made in America, keeping hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold; Arabia Escapes offered access to unforgettable travel experiences.

GBK’s host Gavin Keilly always has his lounge highlight charitable organizations. L.A. Kitchen was featured because the nonprofit has the mission to ensure that neither food nor people ever go to waste. This is achieved by reclaiming healthy, local food that would otherwise be thrown away, training transitioning foster youth and older ex-convicts in culinary arts to empower and nourish the community.

Also the nonprofit Dondolo, Inc., was recognized for providing charitable services for impoverished communities worldwide. They partnered with Snira Corp, an emerging IT services, consulting and business solutions organization. Kudos to them both.

Actress Holly Robinson Peete was also on hand to promote her incredible HollyRod Foundation, inspired by her father and her son, and is run by Holly and her husband former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete. The HollyRod Foundation is dedicated to providing compassionate care to those living with autism and Parkinson’s disease. Many Hollywood’s notables support the worthy organization.
